FKT: Tweed is so Me

Olddude_2Thursday June 7th is exactly two months away from my wife’s due date. This begs the question, what would any rational human blog about before his life is about to be turned upside down? Well nothing I guess. I choose to share this handsome picture of myself in some clothes that may not be gender specific to an expectant father. Yes, you guessed it, it’s another Fully Klothed Thursday.

These were the best items I had at my disposal here in the basement late at night. The pose, not so flattering, but it will have to do. Tweed coats are hot in more ways than one. My wife and I will never be able to share coats though. I felt like The Incredible Hulk in this bad boy.

ARTICLES OF KLOTHING: 1) my wife’s tweed coat 2) head scarf 3) a bra 4) t-shirt from Target 5) pajama bottoms 6) white athletic socks 7) Timex watch 8) boxer briefs

PROPS: 1) snowshoe pole 2) teddy bear 3) baby rocking chair

Garage Sale Value: $20 USD

Street Shock Value: 3 of 7

*Dull FKT Disclaimer – Feel free to mock or copy this crap idea of mine if you want. Don’t feel obligated to do this thing every Thursday and shit. Don’t fret, I won’t send harassing emails to you on a weekly basis demanding you post some hot picture on your blog. That’s way too much work for me and besides, I find reading other blogs boring. I try and spend as little time as possible reading and/or commenting on blogs. I prefer to spread my love for random people in other ways. I don’t feel like delving into those sorts of details pubicly on my blog. Gnome sane?

————————-

and now for something completely different, I’m not typically someone who likes to talk about my trivial accomplishments in life, but I feel compelled to share. I play this great game called soccer on Wednesday nights. Last night I scored the game winning goal with less than a minute left. The win will allow us to play for the championship next week. Remember my post about being competitive a couple posts ago? Yes, it still exists. The goal was great and all, but oddly enough when I last played on this same soccer field in May I also scored in the last minute. I thought it was too strange not to share this with the faithful readers of this blog. Now you can settle your wagers.

  1. ChickyBabe says:

Thank god for that avatar photo, that’s all I’m going to say.

  2. Michelle says:

lol! hilarious!! Oh man, seriously, that picture is great. You should frame it and put on your baby’s nightstand. (Do babies have nightstands?)
I’m pulling a wonderful all-nighter right now and seeing that picture pop up on your page made me bust out laughing. Exactly what I need at 2am in the morning with five out of fifteen pages left to go.
And great minds must think alike because I had posted a similar thing on my blog earlier this evening (or this morning, whatever). But whew, yours is way funnier.

  3. Crashdummie says:

Cant help agreeing with ChickyBabe – saved by the avatar egan.
But then again, if you can laugh at yourself you’ll always be amused.
So lets just say I’m laughing with you… without the minor detail that you’re actually not laughing.. hmm
    cheers!

  4. Amanda says:

I keep giggling uncontrollably at this. I get it under control and scroll down to leave a comment and then I scroll back up to look at the picture. This is my 5th attempt at leaving a comment…and…hold on…ok I’m back again. I love that jacket, though. And the pole (the snowshoe pole…) and bear just tie the look together completely! I see this picture and that scene from Tommy Boy pops in my head.
Congrats on your goal! That’s awesome that you will get to play the championship! I can only imagine that you were a tad hyper last night. Yay for soccer and FKT!

  5. Amanda says:

Note that that comment was left at 4:02 a.m. your time. I came here and started reading this post at 3:45 your time (man, I type using pacific time and it’s messing me up…I think I should go back to bed or something but then I remember it’s 2 hours later here. Bastards!). Anyway, it took me 15 minutes to leave you a comment.

  6. Amanda says:

One more thing. I will probably keep coming back here throughout the day (and this is any different than any other day because?….) so I can refresh my giggles. I may need it today since I have stupid meetings all morning.

  7. Kyra says:

My husband is way into soccer as well (He plays and is in charge of his own league, my daughter’s league and coach, online – Hattrick, and the gamecube. *rolling eyes*) I hear about any games/scoring well played. 🙂 I’m starting to suspect that soccer is a drug, and no one has noticed yet.
Oh and that picture? That’s how you end up dressing by accident after being up 12 nights straight with the baby. You might want to color code your closet in advance.

  8. that is such a hot outfit!! Do you wear that when you play soccer?

  9. brandy says:

I think it takes a real man to show a picture of himself wearing a bra & head scarf. Besides, not many guys could pull it off with the grace and style you did (I’m thinking Kevin might be the only other man alive who could do it). So congratulations! Oh, and good job with the soccer. If you swing by Calgary in the next week, stop by my school and show the kids your moves, okay?

  10. tori says:

You are awesome. That is all I can type between giggles right now. I may be back later.

  11. justrun says:

My gosh, you are so uhhhh, creative.
Congrats on the goal- that’s a great feeling! I haven’t played team sports in FOREVER, I miss that stuff.

  12. Cake Lady says:

I am just damn glad to see you wore socks to cover up that toe 🙂
    Congratulations on that win!

  13. furiousball says:

you look like an old decrepit ellis island ferry tranny

  14. Amy says:

That looks like great attire for my pre-mature retirement accommodations. Not only does that shack not have electricity or plumbing…it’s (temporarily) up in the air and lopsided. (It is up on blocks with big water-filled holes in the ground beneath.) It will(hopefully) soon be sitting on a more permanent concrete structure. I wouldn’t want my retirement home blowing away in the middle of the night…where else could I afford to live?

  15. Laurie says:

Who knew you were so hot? LOL
Oh and congrats on the soccer. That is really cool.

  16. Nessa says:

You look hot in your Mommy outfit.

  17. Rachel says:

If we get the chance to meet when I come to Washington this summer you MUST wear this outfit. That way I will look like I got a photo with the hot climber from the Price Is Right game.
Congrats on the game winning goal. That must have been a fantastic high afterwards.

  18. Rachel says:

Oh, but can you switch the bra for liederhosen? Great. Thanks!!!

  19. sizzle says:

that’s great about the goal and that picture is hilarious.

  20. brookem says:

Winning Goal Getter (is what im calling you today), love the outfit. That’s a nice tweed jacket indeed; has a nice structure to it. Why did Amanda have to beat me to the Tommy Boy punch? I was so about to bust out the fat man in a little coat line and now it’s just, well, the moments gone. Damn you and your late night posting!

  21. Amanda says:

Ha Brookem! Seriously, that has been in my head all morning! “Richard, is this your coat?” “Take it off dickhead, I’m serious.”

  22. patches says:

You really should have utilized the vacuum cleaner as a jet propulsion pack. You could have strapped it in place with the bra…Nice foot work on the soccer field, I’m always impressed by people who play well with others.

  23. brookem says:

god i love chris farley. please dont get me started on the motivational speaker skit.

  24. Amanda says:

Some of the best sketches EVER! Back when SNL was good! “La de frickin’ da!” I love the one where David Spade and the chick from Married with Children (why can’t I remember her name??) can’t stay in character because they are laughing so hard. Those are the best.
I told you I was going to keep coming back, Egan.

  25. Burr-ee-toe says:

hahaha… cute! and good job with the winning goal!! I can’t play sports that require a whole lot of coordination. Its never been my strong point.

  26. Cherry Ride says:

You can really rock the tweed coat!

  27. brookem says:

christina applegate and david spade! i know exactly what you’re talking about and im laughing at the thought of it right now. one time my roommate in college did a matt foley stunt with the coffee table. accidentally.

  28. meno says:

I keep looking at that picture and laughing too. I think it’s because the bra so obviously DOES NOT FIT YOU.
Go to Nordstroms or Macys and the nice bra ladies there can feel you up and help you out. Trust me, you’ll be a lot more comfortable.

  29. egan says:

ChickyBabe – strikes for the second day in a row, I think. I’m too lazy to verify this.
ChickyBabe – you love the old me. Be thankful there’s no audio accompanying this post.
Michelle – hey, all nighters can be dreadful so I’m glad this made you chuckle a bit. I don’t miss that aspect of college one bit. I like your post of the drawing.
Crashdummie – I’m a man of few talents and cross dressing isn’t one of them. Consider yourself lucky.
Amanda – 15 minutes? Get ahold of yourself young lady. I’m glad you liked the goal and this photo of me. I’m going to hear about this one later. Notice how it’s not “Mrs. Lessinges Approved”?
Amanda – could you not sleep last night? What the hell were you doing up so early? Don’t tell me you were that excited to see me Fully Klothed. I will know you’re lying.
Kyra – soccer could be considered a drug in certain countries, but not in the US. I like your take on this about 12 straight nights. I bet there will some wild postings by me in the months after August.
Steppingoverthejunk – truer words have never been spoken. The tweed coat was damn hot. I was sweaty as hell during this “photo shoot”.
Brandy – I should be in Calgary next week to show the kids some moves. I will bring my Sharpie™ since I’m so popular. Kevin and I are true fashionistas.
Tori – I will take awesome. Giggles are also a damn good thing.

  30. *pixie* says:

I didn’t even notice the teddy bear. My question is, regular bra or nursing bra?

  31. egan says:

Justrun – team sports can be fun provided you don’t have assholes on the team who aren’t willing to pass the ball to women. The picture is something else.
Cake-Lady – are my toes that scary you remember them? I’m impressed. Left big toe is ugly.
Furiousball – love your comment man. Why can I picture this so clearly? Well done, bravo!
Amy – did you have some adverse weather in your neck of the woods recently? Retirement, what a nice thought.
Laurie – I really am quite the looker am I not? Tweed is so me and quite hot, literally speaking.
Nessa – my momma outfit makes many people jealous. Maybe I can start a new fashion trend.
Rachel – the goal was euphoric. It’s too bad I hurt my hand from high fiving my teammates. If we do meet I will promise to wear liederhosen instead. Whoa, the Price is Right reference. Uncanny Rachel as I was just talking about him yesterday with a fellow blogger. Freaky.
Sizzle – thanks for both things. I love the tweed, what can I say.
Brookem – I will make sure to let you know when I post. Most are done late at night because that’s my bewitching hour. Tommy Boy, I should really watch that movie some day. So tomorrow what will you call me?
Amanda – see, that line went over my head. I really must see it now.

  32. egan says:

Patches – that sounds like a superhero idea. I like it very much. I try to play well with others, big family perk perhaps?
Brookem – do you own a motivational speaker kit or something? I should watch that Tommy Boy movie.
Amanda – you can keep coming back. Just don’t try and tell me SNL was ever good. Oops, did I say that? My bad.
Burr-ee-toe – you can run a half marathon right? You can play soccer then. Give it a try sometime.
Cherry Ride – I think I rocked it, but it didn’t fit so well and it was hella hot. I had to strip naked to cool off.
Brookem – I put in a request to Amanda to YouTube me this SNL sketch so I can be in the know. I hate feeling left out on my own blog. I know it’s petty, but that’s how I roll.
Meno – I can go to Nordies and they will feel me up? Can I feel them up? Shit, I’m not supposed to say that. Um, I love your suggestion and thanks for laughing.
*pixie* – I was attempting to breastfeed the teddy bear, but kind of failed. It’s not a nursing bra. None of those have been purchased yet.

  33. Burr-ee-toe says:

I really did try all those sports involving more than just running around. I swear to you I have been hit in the face with a soccerball, volleyball, softball, dodgeball… yeah. Not so good. I’m afraid.

  34. Brooke says:

You really should start putting videos on your blog. Bring the sexy back!

  35. Cazzie says:

Bras at outerwear..come on…that has already been done Egan..Madge did it in he 80’s, LOL.
I so cannot wait for your baby to arrive 🙂

  36. Airam says:

Ha! I love the fading effect … it makes you look even more like a little old lady!

  37. Amy says:

No adverse weather yet. Just preparing for global warming.

  38. desireenb says:

Sweet outfit – you know you are starting a HUGE trend now, right?
Way to go in soccer..woo woo!

  39. jungle jane says:

Keep scoring those goals, egan. You know how much that makes my heart sing.
I hope you weren’t sitting down in the picture…you would have missed the chair and fallen on yer tush…

  40. mez says:

can I just say that I <3<3<3 that you post photos like this.

  41. naynayfazz says:

You look mighty sexy in that picture. Hot Damn! 🙂
You can keep blogging for now. It is not like your wife is in the hospital now and you are blogging.

  42. brookem says:

    what’s the happs? (right?)
um, today i will call youuu… let me get back to you on that.
i cannot believe you do not know the chris farley skit. did you watch it? im sure amanda pulled through and gave you some linky love on that one. you must be in the know on this one. come ON.

  43. egan says:

Burr-ee-toe – no worries young lady. Just keep running then since you do that really well.
Brooke – no chance in hell I will put videos on my blog anytime soon. Just not ready for that.
Cazzie – dammit, who are these people beating me to the coolest new trends? Madge? Shame on her.
Airam – that’s what I thought. Just you wait, I can talk like one too.
Amy – please tell me you aren’t kidding about the global warming thing. There’s a guy at work who loves to dismiss global warming as if it’s a unicorn or something else mythical.
Desireenb – I’m a trendsetter? That’s a first. Hello and welcome to my blog by the way. Soccer rules especially when you score the game winning goal.
Jungle Jane – my pursuits on the soccer/football field are all for you. Yes, every step I take on the pitch is for you.
Mez – ha, I guess it’s a good thing to embrace the inner freak right?
Naynayfazz – I will keep blogging as long as I can. I’m so hot as an old lady.
Brookem – actually I did know that skit on SNL, but wasn’t positive. I love the van down by the river bit. That’s a classic sketch. I remember seeing it and watching the other actors do their best not to laugh.

  44. Good for Me says:

first, congrats on the soccer goals. very cool and exciting and ironic that it happened twice.
have been amiss for awhile…house stuff, work stuff, life.
anyway, i LOVE your photo. I think i may need to join in on this because it’s completely hysterical. thanks for doing it!

  45. celeste says:

As Paris would say: “That’s HOTT”

  46. egan says:

Good for Me – yes, the soccer goal was nice considering I was otherwise useless all game. Right place at the right time. I’m glad you like the photo. If you want to remain anonymous, you can. That’s what’s so great about it.
Celeste – yes, it’s very hott. I want to spend time in jail too.
