    I dig the bullets

  2. brookem says:

i like the bullets right now, because im doing a quick scan of things here and there.
GOOD LUCK on sunday! i know you’ll do fantastic! and THANK YOU for all of your help with mine as well. you rock.

  3. brandy says:

Holy shit. My comment was first. Okay now I need to go back and say something interesting. Man. I can’t believe I wasted my first comment status on “I dig the bullets”. C’est la vie. Good luck with the triathlon. I will be rooting for you and not just because you are the only person I know in a triathlon this weekend, but because I feel you deserve to do well. Because, well.. because you use bullets.

  4. Chris says:

michigan lefts are like new jersey lefts, they call them jug-handles there.

  5. mez says:

do you get some paternity leave for when Anna arrives?

  6. You’re right Monkey Man, mosquitos ARE mean little critters…just ask my mosquito bitten arms and legs!

  7. Airam says:

    Egaaaannn!
Your third last bullet was super sweet and endearing!
9 years and 1 week ago if someone said you’ll be meeting your future baby momma .. you probably would’ve though YOUR CRAZY!!!
Good luck on Sunday!!! I’ll be thinking of you and rooting for you!!
I urge you to hook up the wii!! You will be willy glad you did!

  8. patches says:

Bullets are a calling card for people who multi-task. It’s not like you have the luxury of time to compose complete sentences. Holy crap 24 days.
Good luck on your triathlon, I’ll think about you while I bask in my comfy bed catching up on sleep.

  9. CS says:

There was a traithalon going on at Hilton Head while I was there. Although I question thir, and your, sanity for doing it, I still wsih you luck with it.

  10. Tall Chick says:

    Wow. I love the bullets!
    Michigan lefts are stupid, yo.
    Yes, I think I agree about all-nighters.
Oh MAN do I rememebr the phone calls. “Have you had the baby yet?” Uh, yeah ,I had the baby 3 weeks ago and have just been keeping it from you, capisce?

  11. PINK says:

bullet away – more than 4 paragraphs and I’m put off. One blog pal is blogging chapters of non fiction. you can’t really skim that…so I ain’t readin.
yippee on the upcoming birth and 9 years! congrats.
    – i hate mosquitos
    – wow on the iron man; I’m still struggling to walk enough to call it training
    – have a great weekend
    xx
    pinks

  12. Tall Chick says:

How long is the triathlon? I think you told me but I can’t remember.
5 weeks until BB testing. Gulp.
    Run, Bitch, Run! ^_^

  13. furiousBall says:

Kick some patootey this Sunday brother. Here in Jersey we have jughandles, very few real lefts allowed.

  14. tori says:

Good luck on the triathlon! What distance is it?

  15. Jenin says:

Wow! Only four more weeks to go! I am so jealous! I still have 19 more!!
Sheesh pregnancy seems to take FOREVER doesn’t it? Although the hubby and I went and saw “knocked up” last night and I think I want the baby to just STAY IN THERE for a while.

  16. Amanda says:

There are so many things I want to comment on with this post and the comments. I don’t know how to do it in one comment. So I’m going to try the bullet point approach too.
I heart bullet points. I think that they are much easier to read. Good call.
OMG, is it really your tri this weekend, too?!? I’ll be rooting for you from Nebraska, too, like I am for Brookem. What time is yours?
You haven’t hooked up the Wii yet?
    Hasn’t your wife popped yet?
I am totally kidding on that previous bullet
    no I’m not
You met your wife in July 9 years ago? that’s strange…because 9 years ago in July was when iZac and I…um…did stuff…
Brandy – the first rule of first comment is that it must be short and sweet. No more than 5 words. The beauty about Egan’s blog is that you can come back and write the rest of what you’re thinking in a different comment
Did Tall Chick just say, “Yo”? Awesome

  17. Amanda says:

Poop. My bullet points didn’t work. Bastards.

  18. Michelle says:

My roommates and I had Wii – we loved it! It was great bonding time, not to mention arm exercise 🙂

  19. Kerry says:

I can’t wait to see the little Egan!
If it’s 24 days til due date… you could be having that baby any day now!!! They might be off on the date!!! *biting nails*

  20. Tall Chick says:

    Amanda, I think I did, yo. ^_^
    Egan has a Wii?
    Do they make a Wiinie?
Egan, I’m impressed that you can rememeber when you met your wife. Wow. Well, actually, I can remember when I first saw MuNKi, but I have no idea of the date. He could prolly dredge it up because of the event, and he’s better with dates ands shit like that than I am. We’re still trying to get our anniversary date locked in to our brains. Sad, huh?

  21. brookem says:

looks like brooke alexandra should compare mosquito notes with you know who!

  22. amusing says:

Keep the baby away from the bullets or people will think you are bad parents.

  23. liv says:

And FYI, women really hate it when people ask, “Are you still pregnant?” or “Haven’t you had the baby yet?”
    grrr….
It would be disloyal not for you to growl on behalf of Mrs. Lessinges if you hear one of the above queries.
Now, go run and swim and bike….!

  24. Airam says:

Don’t forget your gel packs and water bottles!! Also please stretch before you start tomorrow (I know you know all this but I’m acting like a protective mother right now). Most importantly … have fun!
(i’m writing this as if it’s your first … meanwhile you’re a professional triathlist –> my new word)

  25. The Grunt says:

Very efficient, Egan. Good luck with the Triathalon!

  26. Tall Chick says:

Ooooh! You’re just about to start, I think. Run, Bitch, RUNNNNNnnnnn! ^_^ And have fun!

  27. egan and brookem, who is “you know who” and why should I be comparing notes with him? I feel out of the loop. Should I know this character?

  28. Pants says:

I’ve never been one for video games but I LOVE wii!

  29. tori says:

Airam-professional triathlist is an awesome new word!
Egan, hurry up and update us on this! I can’t wait to hear how you did/how much fun you had!

  30. Tall Chick says:

I’ve killed all the mosquitoes and their families in retribution for your suffering. The backyard is littered with tiny graves. Are you happy? 😉

  31. Amanda says:

    Well? How’d it go?
Tall Chick, Egan does have a Wii! And I bet he’s going to be playing with it all the time. Ha!! I just got your wiinie joke! Me slow today – I think the 94 degree sun zapped my brain today!
And no, the “playing with the wii” thing is never going to get old. NEVER! And I’m still pissed that my bullet pointed comment got fucked up.

  32. Lucy Dee says:

I’m surprised you “think very highly of bloggers.” Is that a self-reflexive statement just to boost the ego? Or is it a non-tongue-in-cheek statement?
Anyway, just came across your blog for the first time and wanted to say hi. Good luck on the TRIATHLON. I ran one in college that was modified: Running, Rowing, and more Running (up and down steps in a stadium.) It was THE BEST FEELING/RUSH I’ve ever had!
    (i haven’t repeated it since.)

  33. Tall Chick says:

Do you think Egan would let us play with his Wii? }:-)
I had a brilliant idea for a Wii game: The Snow Shoveling Game. That way people who can only dream of snow get to experience some of the cold 😉 harsh reality But too many people had heart-attacks in testing. ^_^
The Sweep and Mop the Kitchen floor game didn’t seem to appeal to many. Go figure.

  34. brookem says:

congrats on your first race of the season efo! and thank you for all of your help with mine! woot!

  35. egan says:

Brandy – hey, the bullet points are so convenient and easy.
Brookem – well the triathlon is over and it wasn’t my best effort by a long shot, but another one is finished. Congrats on your triathlon, you made me and many other proud! I’m glad you like bullets.
Brandy – you know Brookem and she did a triathlon too. So yeah, good on her. You’re very funny yo.
Chris – the “michigan left” is lame, but they are safer than three cars running the red light.
Mez – I will take three weeks off when Anna is born and then a month in January. Yippee, I can’t wait.
Brooke Alexandra – I agree 100% with you. They are little shits if you ask me. My arms feel your pain.
Maria – yes, hooking up the Wii has been a real treat. I love this thing. It’s so cool I can download games from older Nintendo systems. Ha, July 18th is the big day I met my wife. Woot woot!
Patches – I’m not sure how well I do multi-task these days, but I will take your word on it. Holy crap is right. My wife has six days at work left. Yikes. Thanks for the triathlon luck. I will provide an update soon on that.

  36. Airam says:

My anniversary with my ex fell on the 18th as well .. only our yearly one was March 18th. Freaky yo.

  37. Chris says:

    Ya got the Wii…YAY!!!!

  38. Good for Me says:

    How’d it go today?

  39. Tall Chick says:

Dude, forget your “lacklustre performance” on the triathlon. I’m concerned about your lacklustre performance on replying to comments. Did you rush off to the hospital or something? No, I know you. A true Blogger would post about that. ^_^ I know this because I posted from the Hosp with Fishy. (this was in board days, though, pre-blogs)

  40. Tall Chick says:

    luster?
    lustre?
    Poop

  41. Tall Chick says:

wa! Typepad likes me today. ^_^

  42. Tall Chick says:

I’m going to comment some more since Amanda’s busy. . .

  43. Tall Chick says:

Sometimes I hate the Eastern time zone. OK. Often.

  44. Airam says:

    I’m booooooredd!!!!
I have work to do but don’t want to do it!!!

  45. sprizee says:

I hope your tri went well today.

  46. Amanda says:

I was busy! Trying to get my knitting done, yo! I have to drop my shit off at the fair on the 30th and I’m not ready!!! TypePad loves you everyday, TC!
Where is he, anyway? For reals…He answers a few comments and then poof! He disappears! Egan, I’m sure you’re probably playing with your Wii. Which, you would definitely let us play with as well if we were there, right? I love playing with people’s Wii’s. I have a feeling that the Wii is going to affect your blogging from home time. Possibly more so than Anna. I know it would for me!!
Airam, if I didn’t have to go to bed in a few minutes, I would chat with you and keep you company and distracted from your work! But I have to get ready for my week and try and get some sleep, even though I took a nap this afternoon (which means going to sleep is going to be tough for me….).

  47. Amanda says:

Oh, and I don’t think any attempt at a triathlon should be considered lackluster (damn…how do you spell that???). Just the fact that you went out there and did it so fucking amazing. You and Brookem are da bomb!

  48. Tall Chick says:

Amanda, I was thinking the same thing – about no finish at all being able to be considered lackluster. I mean seriously. I would probably drown or pass out or puke or any number of embarrasing things – like dying. ^_^
Don’t go to bed Amanda! Stay up and play.
You stil have knitting to finish, yo! You can stay up and blog for inspiration. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Do you think we will annoy Egan if we comment too much?

  49. Tall Chick says:

I agree that he and Brookem are da bomb. Wow. People who can do that totally have my respect. (yo)

  50. Amanda says:

I’m loving the “yo”, Tall Chick!!
Egan promised me that he would never get annoyed at us commenting too much.

  51. Hannelie says:

    OMG, 22 days to go!
I am so glad for you guys and so so excited.

  52. Tall Chick says:

But do you think he was telling the truth? ^_^
    How your knitting going?
I have to teach all the morning classes this week, which I just found out about 4 days ago. And I REALLY need to finish decluttering for the garage sale.
The thing I wonder is, will I do it, or come blog to get away from it? ^_^

  53. Pants says:

I forgot my phone at home. Now how am I going to play tetris in the bathroom?!

  54. Chris says:

Pants – that’s what websudoku.com is for, if you can’t play tetris, may as well bring in a good Sudoku puzzle.

  55. Tall Chick says:

Did you forget how to login to your blog, Egan?

  56. L says:

I think it just hit me that you’re having a bebe.

  57. egan says:

Everyone – I plan on responding to these comments. You hear that Candace?
